Thorn gamma 6s are one of my favourite street lights, they look really nice at night. Sadly, lots are being replaced with LED.

Most of these thorn gamma 6s run 26w Sox-e or 35w Sox, however some run SON. There is one with a photocell which controls most of the other ones. There is about 10 or more of these, and only 1 is EOL! Amazing! These are also all on thorn columns.

Here is one with a wide canopy, or wide hat and a clear bowl, it also has its own NEMA photocell and it runs on a SON lamp.

Here is one with a 1990s style thinner canopy. It still has a NEMA photocell and runs on a SON lamp. It also has a SON floodlight attached to it. Actually, there is a hole drilled into the base of the thorn gamma 6, and it is for the cable to go through connecting to the floodlight. Also, the floodlight doesn’t work, however the thorn gamma 6 still works. The purpose of the floodlight is to light up the stairs to a footbridge over the A30.

Here is a damaged column, it is bent and has been crashed into. The lantern is also bent.

Here is one with a clear bowl, however it is badly yellowed. It also has its own photocell and the thinner 1990s style canopy.
